Frasers Challenge League rules:
All rules published by Northumbria Water, Environment Agency, Police and Sweethope Loughs will be applied to the League and must be addhered to.

Additional Rules
Disabled jetties are deemed as out of bound. However, the possibility of being able to fish disabled jetties will be considered by the commitee, if the need arises, due to any angler being incapacitated by accident or illness.

Any angler found to be in contravention of any of the rules laid down by the above authorities or the committee will be dealt with accordingly. Any punishment issued by one of the above authorities will be supported by the committee and further punishment may be considered up to and including exclusion from Frasers Challenge League.

Northumbrian Water venues, in the event that an angler reaches his/hr 8 fish bag limit prior to the end of the competition, they may then purchase another permit and comtinue to fish until the competition is finished. However at the weigh-in the angler can only weigh in 8 fish.

Sweethope Loughs venues, anglers may use barbed hooks until they have caught 5 fish. They must then use barbless hooks for catch and release until they kill their 6th fish. Once they have killed their 6th fish the angler must cease fishing.

Tunstall Barbless hooks must be used. 6 fish bag limit. Once they have killed their 6th fish the angler can catch & release.

Anglers will be allowed to use boats at venues where they are available. However, it is the anglers responsability to book and pay the additional charge. Boats will be allocated by the fishery on the first come first served basis, so please avoid disappointment and book early. Anglers are also reminded there are additional rules for boat users set down by the fisheries which must be addhered to.

Weigh-in
We put a suggestion form out last season with two options;
Option 1: weight then number of fish if drawn
Option 2: point system then weight if drawn
The point system was the one the members opted for. A point is calculated for each fish caught and it is the angler with the most points who wins. If drawn then the weight is taken into consideration.
