Q. If you had to choose one fly to use all the time, what would it be?

Fritz writes: Good question , but not easy to answer , I think if I had to choose one fly and never be allowed to fish with anything else it would probably be a mini black fritz. I know it's a lure and all that , but you can catch all year round on it where the more natural immitative(? you know what I mean ,buzzers dries etc.) need to match the hatch on the day to be successful. I could fish it on a sinker in the winter and gink it up in the summer and I reckon it would do o.k.
But...... I'd hate to have to do it , half the fun of fishing is trying every fly in your box till you find something they will take.
